Do The Scary Thing

“Do something every day that scares you” – Eleanor Roosevelt

As a recovering perfectionist, I’ve come to truly embrace this mantra.

Perfectionism can be a double-edged sword. It drives us to excel, achieve, and produce high-quality work. However, the associated fear of failure can be paralyzing, leading to procrastination, missed opportunities, and often a sense of feeling stuck.

It is only through taking risks, trying new things, and getting out of our comfort zone that we can learn, grow, and ultimately reach our fullest potential.

So do the scary thing…Sign up for the class. Book the dream trip. Click the "post" button. Apply. Say yes. Say no. Ask for what you want and need. Ask for help….Whatever it is, consider doing it imperfectly for good measure.

If you get mild palpitations while you’re doing it, you’re doing it right. That's a sign that growth is happening.

What scary thing will you do today?
